"Bubbles Galore!"

By: Brandie Valenzuela

right

Bubbles! What child can resist bubbles? Not mine, they love them and well, so do I. There is something so peaceful and calming about a floating bubble, and kids just squeal with delight when you had them some bubble solution and a wand!

Many stores sell bubble solution, and while not a bad alternative, it can really add up if you have a true bubble loving bunch! I have compiled for you several bubble recipes, that are all easy to make. Try your hand at one or more of them - the kids will love you for it!

Recipe # 1

1 quart water
12 teaspoons glycerin
8 teaspoon liquid green soap

Mix and let stand overnight. Hint: glycerin can be found at most drug stores.

Recipe # 2

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup liquid detergent
1 tablespoon cooking oil

Mix together and have fun blowing bubbles!
..................................................................
Recipe # 3

1 cup water
2 Tbsp. Light Karo Syrup
4 Tbsp. dishwashing liquid

Mix together to use.
..................................................................
Recipe # 4

2 tablespoon dish soap
1 cup water

Mix together and use.
..................................................................
"Colourful Bubbles - Recipe # 1"

1 cup granulated soap or soap powder
1 quart warm water
liquid food coloring

Dissolve soap in warm water. Stir in food coloring. Use.
..................................................................
"Colourful Bubbles - Recipe # 2"

1 cup liquid tempra paints (use a washable variety)
2 tablespoon dish detergent
1 tablespoon liquid starch

Mix together. If too thick, add a little water, a teaspoon at a time.
Note: this recipe can create messy bubbles.
